Firstly, each particular tea may be better than another for certain meals, which only can be truly determined by each of us. Generally speaking, a Darjeeling, which is a light & flavorful black tea, usually drunk between meals. A stronger black tea such as Breakfast teas or an Earl Grey tea is also an excellent between meal tea, or with meals & Afternoon teas... Green teas & Oolong teas are good with exotic/spicy meals, also with fish, and even pizza. Again, it is all up to each of us to decide.

There are so many, many recipes of foods that are good to eat with tea & there are so many recipes for making your favorite tea concoctions. However, many good cookbooks, cooking magazines, and family recipes will do the trick nicely.

Please send an e-mail request if you would like to receive any of the two following family recipes that are true favorites' of mine (Sam Barrows). They are the greatest for Afternoon Teas. The flavor is wonderful & they do make me remember Afternoon Teas when my grandmother came to visit when we were growing up: · Sam's Favorite: Bubble's Molasses Lace Cookies · Sam's Favorite: Mom's Swedish Butter Cake

Additionally here are a few good recipes:

Cucumber Sandwiches - Peel a fresh cucumber; use thin white bread & cut off the crust, lightly butter the bread & then lightly put mayonnaise on top of the butter; then cut 1/4" thickness pieces of cucumber & put on the bread, lightly season with pepper (if desired); put the top piece of bread on; cut into quarters and serve!!!

Barrows Overnight Iced Tea - Add fresh non-chlorinated water into a clean pitcher; add 6 Barrows Round Tea Bags ( any flavor) per ½ gallon of water; keep the pitcher on the counter and lid ajar; next morning take out the tea bags, add mint (or lemon) if desired, refrigerate for a few hours; add ice in glasses & serve!!!

Barrows Green Tea Ice Cream - 1 quart heavy cream, 2 cups of milk, 1 1/4 cups of sugar, pinch of salt and ½ teaspoon of ground green tea leaves (rip open & use the contents of one round tea bag of Barrows Japan Green). Boil cream over high heat until reduced by half; let cool to room temperature, then cover & refrigerate until chilled. Combine in a bowl the reduced cream with the remaining ingredients, mix until the sugar is dissolved; "chill-out" & serve!!!
